Anne Tucceri, third from the right, was called by George Mure “the grandmother of the restaurant industry” because ever since her father opened Brittannia cafe, there have always been family members in food in Tasmania, and her husband was the late Umberto (Bertie) Tucceri. Italian restaurants and Italian names fall from her pen: among them Don Camillo, Mondo Piccolo, Evo’s Gallery, which became The Mona Lisa, and those of her friends shown here.
